GE: Garden Industrial Group to create more than $20 billion in new jobs in U.S.

GE says it will invest $20.6 billion in a new $20 million plant in the United States and add 100 new jobs.

The announcement is part of a $1.6 trillion deal announced Thursday to create 500,000 manufacturing jobs in the U. S. and create more production and service jobs in Europe, as well as a $250 million expansion of GE’s U.K. factory.

The new GE plant will be the second largest in the world after the $3.2 billion plant in China.

The factory is set to open by 2020 and will employ about 1,000 workers, including some 2,000 in the facility.GE will also create the largest manufacturing job opening in the company’s history.

The plant is expected to generate more than 20,000 new jobs and increase GE’s global manufacturing workforce by 1 million over the next two years.

GE will invest an additional $10 billion in the plant, which will begin construction in the first quarter of 2020.GE said the plant will create more jobs in its U. s and Europe than in any other U. k. plant.
