South African tourist takes selfie with lion after spending 3 days in Pallet Garden

Posted November 21, 2018 08:29:18 A South African visitor to the pallet gardens of the Olives and Pines in the Dominican Republic has taken a selfie with a lion, who was a surprise visitor to a hotel where she was staying.

The visitor, who wished to remain anonymous, said she had been to the hotel a few times before and was shocked when she saw the lion on a bed in a room.

“He was so cute and was sleeping on a couch,” she said.

“I thought I would just give him a hug but I was not sure how to do it.

He was sleeping so peacefully on the bed.”

She said she was not expecting the lion to be there and decided to take a selfie of him.

“The first picture of the lion was taken when I was waiting outside the hotel,” she wrote.

“Then he came and stood next to me, and was very friendly.”

After the selfie, I realised that he was a real lion and I was very scared.

“Later that day, the staff came to the room and I asked if the lion had come to the lobby.”

They said it had come.

I was really scared.

“The visitor said she felt bad that the hotel staff did not take the lion seriously and had not been warned to leave him alone.”

But I did not think it was a good idea to take the picture of him, because it was very dangerous,” she explained.”

My friend was worried and called the police, and the police came.

“The Lion at the Olive Garden Restaurant on the outskirts of Santo Domingo (File: David Ramos)A spokesperson for the hotel confirmed the lion sighting, but said it was not an unusual one.”

We did have a visitor with the lion last year, but they were very tame and did not harm anybody.

They did not bite anyone, but were very gentle and didn’t hurt anybody,” they said.

The hotel has not been open for a year and a half and it is unclear how long it will be before the lion is gone.
